Stampin' the Future Children's Stamp Design Contest Winners
In celebration of the approaching twenty-first century, the U.S. Postal Service conducted a Stampin' The Future design contest for children ages 8-12. Children from the United States and its various territories and possessions were invited to submit designs based on their visions of the future. Four finalists were selected from each state and territory from more than 120,000 entries. The four winning stamps were based on the artwork of four young visionaries — Zachary Canter's Astronauts, Morgan Hill's Rocket, Sarah Lipsey's Children, and Ashley Young's Dog — and were exhibited at the World Kids' Congress hosted by the Postal Service as part of World Stamp Expo 2000.
