Founded in 1902 to coordinate the activities of local organizations, the American Automobile Association (AAA) is a federation of local automobile clubs. Total membership is about 29 million from all states. Headquarters are in Falls Church, VA. The AAA promotes highway improvement and supplies its members with emergency road service, insurance, legal aid, and travel information and assistance.
