Boris Karloff was a British actor who immigrated to Canada in the 1910s is best known for his role of Frankenstein’s Monster in “Frankenstein,” “Bride of Frankenstein,” and “Son of Frankenstein.” Prior to taking on this role, his Hollywood career was sporadic. He got the role after Bela Lugosi refused it. The success of the first film, led him to the role of Imhotep in “The Mummy.” Following were roles in many other film genres.
