Running from 1970 through 2005, ABC Television’s “Monday Night Football” aired 555 National Football Games and was the second-longest prime time television show in history. The program moved to the ESPN cable network in 2006. To live up to its prime time billing, the program had celebrity guests such as U.S. Vice President Spiro Agnew and John Lennon. A variation of Hank Williams Jr.’s hit song “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight” was introduced as an introduction to each show.
