Commemorative issue Third International Philatelic Exhibition
Third International Philatelic Exhibition
This souvenir sheet was issued in compliment to the Third International Philatelic Exhibition, held in New York. Included as part of the sheet design are four 3-cent stamps: the Connecticut Tercentenary, California-Pacific Exposition, and Michigan and Texas Centennial commemorative issues. The stamps are not perforated, and the sheet was produced with gum. The margin inscription reads: "PRINTED BY THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT, BUREAU OF ENGRAVING AND PRINTING--UNDER AUTHORITY OF JAMES A. FARLEY, POSTMASTER GENERAL--IN COMPLIMENT TO THE THIRD INTERNATIONAL PHILATELIC EXHIBITION OF 1936--NEW YORK, N.Y., MAY 9-17, 1936."
