The Green Bay Packers were a major force in the National Football League at the end of the 1960s, winning the Super Bowl in both 1967 and 1968. The team is the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team. The Packers play their home games at Lambeau Field, named for one of the two team founders. Their 12 NFL world championships is a league record, and the only team to win the NFL championship in three consecutive years, which it did twice.
