The design of this issue commemorated 75 years of service of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, ranging from aiding school dropouts to promoting traffic safety, from conserving natural resources to aiding international understanding and goodwill. The stamp also honors the 11 million women members of the clubs and associate organizations.
