Utilizing stamp designs of the 3-cent and 8-cent varieties of the Statue of Liberty depiction of the Liberty Series, this souvenir sheet honored the Fifth International Philatelic Exhibition. The postage stamp exhibit was held April 28-May 6, 1956, at the then-new New York Coliseum, which since has been torn down.
