Antoniazzo's early life is not well documented, although it is known that he painted in Rome with other masters of the High Renaissance. He was influenced by Melozzo, Ghirlandajo, and Raphael. His works are in the Pantheon, Church of St. Maria Sopra Minerva, and Vatican museums. Antoniazzo became a follower of Melozzo's style. He recaptured Melozzo's scope in frescoes in the Church of St. Giovanni Evangelista in Tivoli.
