Ford Motor Company produced the Model T – also known as the Flivver and the Tin Lizzie – from 1908-1927. With the Model T, the automobile came into popular usage. The Model T was the first affordable auto. Henry Ford brought the cost down by utilizing the first assembly line production method, rather than complete hand crafting. In an international poll, the Fort Model T was selected as the most influential automobile of the 20th century. The Model T had a front-mounted, 177 cubic inch, four-cylinder engine. It had a rated top speed of 45 mph, and could run on ethanol, gasoline or kerosene.
