Born in Romania in 1893 in Romania Edward G. Robinson was an American actor of Hollywood's Golden Age who is best remembered for his gangster roles. His roles included Rico in Little Caesar and Rocco in Kay Largo. He also had major roles in Double Indemnity and The Ten Commendments. He was selected for an Honorary Academy Award for his work in film and it was awarded posthumously two months following his death in 1973.
